How Pandemic Exposed The Importance Of Tech

The pandemic exposed the importance of tech. Humanity was created for a change, but we were unable to adapt, so we complained. Nowadays, same scenario. Those who embraced the change during the pandemic, became tech giants. Enjoy this story by Zhang Yiming the CEO of Bytedance.

This is a personal story that happened in 2010. As an amateur, the first time, I went to a clothing market, it was as if what I learnt was different from what I saw. My feet, shook as if an earthquake happened beneath it. What got me off was, Mr. Harry Ayomide and I was supposed to alight at the market place, but he took the train earlier than the scheduled time. I take responsibility for the act. Sometimes we loose because of extreme confidence. Thanks to Lars and Jens Rasmussen for the Google map, they introduced to connect the world. I was able to navigate.

When I finally met him, we headed his customer shop through the narrow roads. At first, I was perplexed, because of the "grip of ignorance", but I've got to adapt quickly before I fall a prey. Barely about 10 minutes walk from our point of meeting, we arrived at his customer's shop. We purchased a ton of fabrics, after a long negotiation. Business is build on trust. The scene between Mr. Harry and the client was a godly act. I saw practically that business begins, when both parties make it happen.

The above story, it's a pointer to growth, and also relate to any exchange, that happens between two people. It must begin with both parties, before a reward of service. Except for the greedy ones that crave for a good strategy, and when they can not duplicate the idea, it becomes hateful. Studying a trend, is important to companies especially start-ups.

Do you know what propelled us to purchase the ton of fabrics?  We made sales calls and after a series, we were able to close a deal. And, it was a client who introduced us to a construction site to get their employees body sizes, and the choice of fabric that will look good on them. Due to cause and effect, we ceased the opportunity. A trend begins in the mind. Winning also begins in the mind.

This decade embodies a technological era. It's just like the story shared earlier, thanks to social media, for providing all the relevant online skills, to building a good team. Time is wisdom. When you ignore a relevant priority, you face the consequence.

The tech world adhered to priorities, and birthed an experience that everyone is willing to pay. Experience is the major important factor on a trend. It takes you to the exact point, and signals you to exit or continue.

The choice of fabric we visited the market for, was out of trend. But for late adaptors, it was a fresh product based on the experience, we had with a prior trend. We were focused on a perfect timing. Entrepreneurs loses out from a trend, via poor timing.

Focusing on the priorities and unlearning before a trend is birthed, gives a beneficial outcome.

The pandemic birthed an era, where no one ever thought, you could sit at home and make ends meet. I became free, from the shackles of modern slavery, a 9-5 lifestyle. The sense of unity in a team came up, when the users experience of Zoom, Google Meet etc grew. It also grew their user interface.

See! Humanity witnessed a reflection of a technological era, as we entered into a new decade through the pandemic. Giant tech companies like Facebook, Tick tock etc embraced the change prior to the lock down started. The volume of online users increased. So many fintech banks were birthed, to aid online transactions.

The trader we purchased the fabrics from, has workers but no team work driving his business forward. He never knew the benefits of building a team. He had to leave his shop, to get a rare color of a demanded fabric from others. Life is easy when building network.

This decade introduced a tech era, where you've got to know where your customer's are, and what they like most. The tech era had made us selfless, in serving our customers with the way they want it, therefore promoting the unity of team members. But, time had made our fear of the unknown become a reality. . What's your opinion on the effect of change, you are experiencing right after the pandemic?

The economy that couldn't jump on the tech bandwagon is on a decline. Though it's never late. We've got to always make changes in our strategy.

Henry Ford exposed the future by birthing a vehicle. You'd learn a few things if you click here. Many recognized the trend, but few jumped on it. In my opinion, we should learn to be flexible, when change knocks on the door. Truth!

... And the creation of humanity brought advancement. But for you to experience it, you must recognize it. It's our responsibility to induce vital information to the world, so she could be a better place for all. The change we experience, is equal to the strength of our adaptability. Did 2020 introduce a tech decade?
