Why Advertising Is A Luxury; Content Is A Survival

The ancients, knew nothing about contenting because advertisement was the ordeal which they graciously engaged, and most people was seen culminating with it. They forgot that as the world revolves, so also the market changes alongside with it's customer's affinity.

Advertising was a regular visitor that we had in this millennial, because if it is not on the TV set, then it is a whole pile up of messages on our phone. We are dejected with it's frequent pop-ups. The billboards had mastered it's act. When we bump into a message at first because of our mind had been positioned based on it's everyday visiting, we tend to assume wrongly.

Advertisement is a luxury because a lot of money is been paid to air a product or service either on the TV set, radio, billboards or other areas where it is transmitted. Based on research, Amazon was the highest ads spender in 2019. The usage of it's channel has given the advertisement world tons of million dollars from its users, which a lot of us are still running into.


Its been a mandatory world which advertisers lived in to get to their community of users, and it has jingled down the finances of most. The time invested is another luxury that they do not envisage, and at the other end, the community of users often see ads on it's medium as a luxury.

Ann Handley and David Meerman Scott in their book "Content Rules" pointed out that "Content drives conversation. Conservation engages your customers. Engaging with people is how your company will survive and thrive in this newly social world. In other words, online content is a powerful envoy for your business, with an ability to stir up interest. Further engagement, and invite connection".

In creating a killer content that will survive against all odds, you have to live in the audience to ascertain the very daily experience that patterns the way it's been built, and most content creators are fine tuned into carving out ways that are suitable, and also a fathom on what the audience wants. Content is a powerful tool which attracts most audience, but if your content is worth their time, they are eager to give up more time.

Some content creators births a content hourly and as they rush out of different contents quickly to be published, so will the audience rush into your content and opt out quickly because there are no iota of value embedded in it.

Advertising is a luxury because a lot of billion dollars had been spent to portray a product that do not explain perfectly on "what is in for them", and they do not allow the customers or clients to own a purchasing power. 

Content is survival in the sense that it explains what is needed for the customers to purchase it and what will happen if they do not purchase. ln this recent times, advertisement has been an elimination of the unfit.
