Turning A Rebellion Follower Into A Good Leader

Condemning a follower do not make her resist the temptation for an opposition, rather turning her to a rebel.

Frantically, I made a decision never to allow the behavior of other followers affect my approach towards them. The only permanent thing is change.

I had a colleague that appeared stubborn. Nothing you say that will change his mindset and approach towards things, so I got interested in him because I know that no matter how frowny, he seems to be having an iota of joy. While others ran away from him, I was interested in striking off a relationship. I approached him with an empathetic service, and he was amazed that ever since his birth, no one has ever put a care on his priority.

I visited him on a sunny saturday at his residence in the heart of Bronx, New York City. He was very astonished on my visitation. After I had the privilege of having a lunch together with his family. We sat at the balcony, and was making jest and enjoying the beautiful nature of New York City.

He paused for a while, looked straight into my eyes and told me to listen to a story, and he wanted me to learn from it. I'm privileged to sharing it with you.

At his former place of work, he was entitled to receiving a weekly pay because of the extra time he spent to inculcating all he got for a better productivity. It sustained his family, and they lived happily. During a meeting held with the board of management, an opposition rose up and counted the extra pay that was given to him, irrespective of the extra time.

The opposition swayed off the attention of the management board into pointing at "every employee has to give in their all without any reward". Though, some did not agree but the majority won the votes. After that day, he noticed whenever he spent an extra hour, the incentive due him in exchange was hoarded, so he confronted the management board, with a low tone. They refuted despite the explanation.

This happened for barely six months of struggles, fights, unhappiness emanating from his work place, that even when he is done with his duties due to the specified duration, they still wanted him to give in more than he had taken. "Like a compulsory task". He quoted. It affected his countenance at home or everywhere he goes.

So, when he was employed in our company, he needed months to get over it. He was always seen intentionally unhappy to scare off some employees, and that bought him a enough personal time. Looking outwardly, you'd think that he was stubborn but had a flexible nature embedded in him.

Appreciation eats deep into the soul. We are always wanting to give more, when we are appreciated and this attracts the employees to being owners. The extra time and any little work done that is off the employee duty should be appreciated, and also honored. When we look outwardly at a person, we do not know the tears hidden behind their orbital region. They often won't say it out, until you are keen in building a relationship with them.

Everybody loves companionship and appreciation, and it makes us to discover more of our personalities.
